When I first got my 190E the ABS was overactive when stopping at slow speeds. I cleaned the front sensors and the reluctor rings as advised and the problem disapeared.

The other day the symptom returned so I cleaned the sensors again today. However, the ABS was still overactive. The answer to fix things was to replace the warped front brake disc I had, and now the ABS is working as normal again. One of the previous owners had put cheap discs on and overtightened the brake calliper bolts, so I paid Budget £20 plus a fiver Christmas tip to put the new discs and pads on for me as I didn't have an appropriate Tommy bar for the job. Just a note for posterity.

Happy Christmas!
