ABS, Traction Control, EDC, warning lights, illuminated and Spoodometer not working.

Mercedes Sprinter 616cdi, year 2005.ABS,Traction control, EDC and brake fluid warning lights illuminated and Spoodometer not working.Anybody any idea what the problem maybe, thanks Ray.

As above. Low voltage produces lots of faults.
Get the battery charged up or replaced before the really cold weather arrives.

Battery is fully charged and the vehicle starts first turn of the key.

Read the fault codes. You probably have a bad wheel speed sensor pulling the whole system down. If that is the case, take my advice and buy a genuine mercedes sensor. The aftermarket ones read double for some peculiar reason. Don’t make that mistake. It’ll make you doubt your original diagnosis

Thanks for that piece of advice with regards to the genuine speed sensor. Have struggled to get a local garage to do a diagnostic check as the Sprinter has a14 pin plug and not the standard 16 pin Obd plug. Taking it to a garage tomorrow to hopefully get a diagnostic check carried out.

Could be the brake light switch. Whatever is causing it , its a canbus error. Don't waste time guessing have an expert with the tech to sort it.

Hopefully will find out tomorrow if the diagnostic scanner can pick up the fault, fingers crossed.

Hi guys connected snap on diagnostic tool no code showing when you go into ABS module as if there is no power going to abs system, any ideas

If its anything like my e350 if its a canbus fault, the abs system will be fine, when this fault occurs your device cant talk to the abs systems. It tricks you into thinking its the abs at fault , trust me its not. My problem was down to a headlight ..... I'd lose power steering, pre safe , speedo , abs , esp, all the rear lights would light up and stay on, car wouldn't go into drive. £42 On star scans the vehicle properly.

Thanks for the Info, I did have a rear tail light out changed that and also checked brake light switch which some people say can cause the problem also but no success as yet, looking at possibly a broken wire somewhere but not the easiest of things to work on, thanks
