Sorry about this but I am sitting here fuming!
Bought Slk200 at start of June. It is a 54 plate but a 2005 car.
It had approx 5500 miles at purchase with the service indicator at approx 7000 miles still to go. has been in twice for leaking roof and intermittent indicator problem which was told fixed a few weeks ago (it's not)
A few days ago the indicator changed to 29 days and under adv on here I decided to phone the selling dealer as I thought that it was unacceptable after 2 months that car needs a service.
Phoned today at 2pm, left message with sales assistant as manager was busy.
Have now phoned back 30 mins ago as they never contacted me.
Was, on 2nd phonecall, told more or less tough, the car has a servive indicator that changes through time and that I should put some oil in!!!!
If that doesn't work book it in for "B" service.
I would have thought at the bare minimum the labour for the service should be free, still waiting on a phonecall back again from dealer.
Still waiting on him getting back to see what they are doing!!!!

Update...
phoned by service department and I have to book in car and all work will be covered free of charge!!!!

Quite a few dealers/indies read this forum, so may have got the hint!

Hope you get it sorted, but personally, find a good Indie (family based Mercedes Independent specialist who has a lot to lose from bad attitude and work) and stick with him. The dealers here in Germany, from the occasions Ive been to them are great, but I wouldnt grace a UK dealer.

It's pretty cut and dried - approved used cars won't need servicing within 3000 miles/ 3 months. From your dates, you must be pretty tight on that rule, though!

Make sure they put 229.5 oil in so you get the maximum service interval. Not sure about the SLK, but my C-Class shows 13000 miles to next service if it's been done right. (Oh, and make sure it says A service next).
