Ad blu and Wynns crystal clean and protect

So, new here, just come out of Coventry UK dealership feeling shafted on my 2016 plate 70k 250GLC. About £1k for diagnostics, and to replace a metering valve and ad blu injector. My concern is we are only using the car intermittently- maybe 2 or 3 times a month, but then it’s always a journey of 50 miles or more. The chap at merc told us to get a petrol car!

I thought I’d by some of Wynns crystal clean and protect, but I noted one web citing saying he got an ad blu ‘quality’ message on using this. has anyone used the Wynns product - has anyone had an ad blu ‘quality‘ message?

You know an adblue delete remap is only £300 to £500?
I have used a similiar product, but still got adblue problems, very poorly designed system with no plus points at all.

I bought a 500 ml bottle and put it in with 20 litres of piggy **** . I've not had any bother at all . Oink oink . I also used it in my e350 for a good while , again , no issues.

I have several bottles of stock of 3rg and forte as at the time this stuff was good dust. I had ad blue warnings, drained, refilled and added additive and all good touch wood.

Consider draining and refilling the ad blue tank very 6 months with fresh additive.

Mb recommended 2 years , if your only doing say 3k a year . Every 6 months , you may aswell just ad a litre at a time . Weekly .

What MB recommend is total stupidity. I mean they recommend 10/20k plus oil change intervals, 20/30k for air filters….

Never listen to a dealership as it will never better common sense.

10k is fine for oil and 20k for air filters is fine . Tbh.

My air filters are close to £100 a pair , I'd not be changing any earlier.

Anyone who wishes to do regular and sooner levels of service to their vehicles is fine by me .

Sorry I don't know of any french remapping services.

Is this possible to do with an internet connection and a passthru device? I have been advised that it is possible to work on the cars files with software called xentry to diagnose and Monaco to make changes

The ECU needs to come out to flash it ,if remapping it to delete ad blu etc . You need an indy with star or a mb dealer.
