C250 amg line premium plus 2016
Hi

I have a 2016 c250 amg line premium plus.
about 2 month ago I had eml light on, took to guys who service it and they advised its nox system related and needed to leave it for inspection. I took the car away and after few days I had run the fuel tank down and refilled and the light went out shortly after.
Fast forward a month and I filled my adblue but the levelnever changed, reads about half full with mileage of 2000. I put in a bottle of adblue decrystaliser hoping it might sort things out but hasn’t.

anybody else had similar, what was fix for you

Hello and welcome,

Have you had the car long? Has a previous owner had the AdBlue deleted…

I agree, if it’s running ok leave well alone!
Also bear in mind that no adblu is used until engine has warmed up and adblu tank is above certain temperature (possibility of freezing) so cold weather and short runs equals very little adblu useage

As a matter of interest how many miles to you get out of a tank of AdBlue?
The wife has a SLC250d but only does about 4K mies between services. We have never filled the AdBlue tank.

Interesting, I didn’t know that about adblue .
The ad blue tank has a heater , an icarsoft will even tell you ad blue temperatures .
Ad blue freezes at minus 11 , the ad blue heater is there to warm it to minus 5 , if temperatures really drop. It's best to keep the tank brimmed during winter , less chance of it freezing . Plus add the all important anti crystal formula. A full tank in the c207 should get you at least 6 to 8 thousand miles . If the ad blue system temperature is critical - 11, then it can take upto 20 minutes before the heater works on the tank and lines . Yours being inside the boot has less chance of freezing. I saw my GLC ad blue range reducing usually after every 100 miles. You'd need to use a stick or icarsoft on yours .

Used to have a C63... now back in the fold with a 67-reg E350d!
Not on the Merc but had exactly these symptoms on another car. Read full for 1100 miles of mainly motorway driving and flagged a fault one morning (about 900 miles in).

EML light on and flagged Adblu System Failure.

Car drove fine, no countdown, etc, and was advised by main dealer it was okay to drive until new part arrived.

Turned out to be "Adblue Module Failure" - pump was still working and Adblue still being delivered as required, just not reading/registering level.
