Adding double din Apple CarPlay unit to facelift (2007) W203 C Class

I’ve seen a couple of threads about adding a Apple CarPlay unit to the W203, I’ve found the below:

My 203 has the standard radio and the Mercedes Bluetooth with phone calls only, it also has buttons on the steering wheel which is the newer style steering wheel. I’ve attached some pictures.

My question is is the unit in the link compatible, how hard is fitting (any soldering etc) and does anyone have experience with this unit or similar ones?

Hello.
You can probably buy an ISO adapter to make fitting easier as you have no exotic amps etc.
I have fitted a Chinese unit (Erisin) into my pre-facelift S203 and a facelift style into another car.
They come with adapter cables and fit straight in.
