Adjusting handbrake

Which tray do I need to remove to access the adjuster under the car ?

I would just nip the adjusters up on the drums as Malc said, only takes a couple of mins a side!!

Is this the adjuster that is visible through one of the wheel bolt holes ?

Yes at the top normally,,with a flat bladed screwdriver just turn the ratchet wheel till the wheel ocks,then back off so that it spins freely
