Hi

I am looking for any advice or warnings ect, I am looking to buy a 97 - 2000 clk 230 komp or a 320.
I have looked at a few but have found some signs of premeture rust on two of the cars , this is not what i expected having once owned a mint 190 which still was rust free when i sold it a couple of years ago.
I have also owned bmw's and an audi all of which have not rusted.
(german quality )

I realy want a clk and they are now priced within my piggy banks reach
But the rust thing is a worry, so can you put my mind at rest or should i get a 3 series coupe instead.

thanks

Thanks for the reply

That took a long time to read and although the clk inperticular didnt get mentiond often,

I think i will look at the 323 ci
This is a big outlay for me and it would break my hart to spend this much and get a rusty car.

My 190 was great, shame they never kept up the build qaulity.
I might look back to mercs in 5 years or so and see if things are better

Thanks again for the info

Steve
