I'm thinking in terms of wear and tear on components on higher mileage cars and the usual stone chips etc. Of course worn stuff could have already been replaced so might not be an issue at all. I'm biased of course because I prefer low mileage and have never had any real problems in doing so. Others will no doubt disagree. Nothing beats a good inspection and chat with the owner about service history. There seems to be a good choice around so worth waiting until exactly what you want turns up.Any specific reason/faults that manifest around 100k @Peter?
I have the 4.7 in my S class and it is a peach even compared to my old E500. Also drops in to a lower tax bracket than the 5.0 and the V12sThanks gents. The last one in Germanite Grey looks fantastic although 5+ owners and I’d prefer trade to PX my current car. Any specific reason/faults that manifest around 100k @Peter?
I didn’t realise the newer 4.7 was that much more powerful and torquey. At 13k it’s much cheaper than other 4.7s, and it doesn’t talk about FSH so perhaps that’s why.
Are there any recommended MB specialists that will undertake a full inspection and create a report?
