Hi,
Having problem and hoping for advice. After car went in for service and rocker gasket replacement, I find it under revs and pulls away sluggishly in 1st gear. Almost cuts out when pulling away, seems to be a delay. Auto box goes through rest of gears smoothly. Appreciate any help!

The garage had a fiddle with the air intake and the car seemed fine again for a short period . Now it seems to be hesitant pulling away again . Please help !!

The other one to check would be the main wiring loom in the engine bay. I still have a mid 1996 car with its original loom and it all works just fine BUT normally they are well past their replacement date now. Check date tags on the loom behind the battery plastic cover on the firewall. Do a search on here and other forums for the numbers and letters on that tag that will tell you if your loom is factory or has been replaced. The insulation breaks down and the messages to the management system get lost.

E220 or E320? E320 and the wiring loom degrades as above, the E220s seemed to avoid this problem when I last looked about 5 years ago, but I suppose now they're that bit older could also be problematic now?
