My Aug 98' C250TD sport Est is getting a bit noisey. Any advice on where to get an exhaust system - I have a local guy who could fit but perhaps one of the exhaust centres may be best??
Considering the old girl has done 160k I suppose that's not bad for a first change! :D
Thanks
J

Although a genuine MB exhaust may cost you more they are so much better than any aftermarket one. Buy genuine then have your local guy fit it.

Depends how long you are going to keep the car. If you intend keeping it another 5 years or so I think it is well worth fitting OE.

If you decide on an aftermarket system there may be a downside that your quiet Merc may not be so anymore and this would not be to my liking, it would irritate every time I drove the car. Gauge and qaulity of metal are the key so don't be persuaded that aftermarket items are as good.

I made the mistake of fitting a non-OE cat on my 96 C200 (from GSF), it's a nasty noisy thing. I'm half hoping it'll fail it's next MOT, so I'll have a reason to buy the proper kit.
