The only comment i ever saw on here mentioning after market wood trim, was not exactly complementary regarding the quality of those offered.

you might want to check out www.mercedesshop.com
the US website, they have lots of comments on them and list suppliers - of course depending on size and weight shipping may eat your lunch but at least will give you an idea what's out there.

No you didn't imagine it.  Koolvin's right.....the larger Halfords have a "custom bits" area, and I've definately seen an example/catalogue for wood trim in there.

What do you have as standard?  If it's still just plastic pieces you could have them coated in real carbon fibre or something, that would look great.  If you want a touch of the exotic in there why not have them treated to look like sandstone, marble, granite or slate, like the new Maybach interior.  I think a kitchen place will be able to do this for you.

The prices look quite reasonable, although I would be happier with oem items from the stealership/factory.
