Air bag problem

Recently bought a 2015 slk 250. Switching on ignition, the air bag lamps under the hazard warning lamp indicate passenger air bag 'on' (no passenger) and drivers air bag 'off' with the number 2 included. I am obviously sitting on drivers seat. Your advice please as I am a bit confused.
