Air con Compressor problem

Hey guys hope you all are doing well
I have got E300 hybrid Diesel 2.1 (2015) saloon
I have got faulty air con pump (compressor) and very weird nosie coming I called mer Benz garage they Said it will be 2700 plus labour i went to local coundnt find part
Now i found one place i sent them email and asked about part
Part is available but they said they hgsbsnsjjsave got for S212 mine is saloon and i think its w212
Can you guys help if its w212 or s212 because they say mine is s212

Compressor should be the same for both estate and sedan.
You don't say where you are to receive help?

A0038301660 is the part for both 212.098 and 212.298 300 hybrids (to check if this yours look at first 6 numbers of the VIN number).

Looking at the price of parts alone that's actually quite reasonable! One site has new compressors at nearly £3800!

cripes LK , think id get a 2nd hand one , I cant see as they usually fail often

One company say they cab reconditioned it but im i will have to take it off you send them

I found a refurbished one for £980...(search using the part number).

Yes i called Merc myself and plus online searched one company i i call this morning in thus Morning they based in Oldham they say they have one from breaking e class and qoute me 300

I didn’t mean are you sure of the prices , I meant are you sure the compressor is faulty before you pay those prices ?

Agreed at those prices I would want at lease two more opinions, before spending cash.

Oh sorry yeah i went to different garages to confirm and noise is so clear that you can hear from far

I looked at compressors recently (not for your car, I admit) and autodoc were the cheapest by far.
