air con drain hose

hi all,my air con gets a bit smelly when i 1st turn on,then goes after a minute or two,
i was thinking it might be the air conditioning drain hose being blocked as never seen a small puddle under car when it has been on for a while
does anyone no Where is the air conditioning drain hose is on a c280

Pull back the carpets on the centre console at the front and you will see the coming from the heater box to the tunnel,where they vent. There is one either side if i remember correctly.

i have just picked up my c220 cdi w202 today while driving i switched the air con on and i was overwhelmed by the smell that's coming out of the vents.
could anyone please tell me what's the problem and how could i rectify it.

Hi otto, I would replace your dust filter with a a/c combination filter and carry out a air con sanitiner spray canister to kill any fungy and algi.

sanitizer from halfords, and the filter quite cheap from mb.

Its a common complaint.

Get a can of COMMA air con cleaner from Halfords-£11.

This should eliminate viruses/bacteria for about 4 months.

The trick is to put your air con on full for 5 minutes set to lowest temp possible before you finish every journey. This should keep the bugs at bay on a more permanent basis.

You can see know that everything works in reverse when your in the southern hemisphere. Most of you guys north should have been occasionally running your air cons in winter so that some of these problems could have been minimized or avoided. Right now I am running my heater.

hi,do you wher the drain hose are for a 55 plate cls,as i think it may be blocked as i too get an rotton egg smell

I would fit a new filter and use an aircon purifier kit from halfords
