My aircon in my 2003 E320cdi has stopped working.

Are there anything I can check for myself?

When the aircon button is pressed, the aircon(off) symbol flashes a few times but stays on....

Also where is the fuse box for the rear seat 12v power socket?

Many Thanks

You need a diagnostic on the aircon. I believe the digi climate systems have a diagnostic mode that will tell you the problem . Have a look at this http://forums.mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=133939

As for the fuse. Have a look in the chart in the front fusebox (drivers side, under the bonnet, under the windscreen).

Try looking for one in in the boot. Next to spare tyre. There is a blanked off plastic box in nearside ,just under windscreen where the diagnostic instument is plugged in. Take out the screws and remove the cover there may be more fuses in this location.

The chart in the front fusebox should list ALL the fuses including the ones in the other fuseboxes that are dotted around the car. I was trying to find teh fuse for the radio in my 210. Pulled teh chart from the front fusebox which directed me to another one under the back seat. On a 211 I know there is one behind the left hand panel in the boot but I doubt its related. Not sure where the others are located.
