Good Evening All,
The Mrs picked me up from work the other day.
When she pulled up I thought the 'diesel rattle' was a bit louder than usual.
I lifted the bonnet and noticed the air filter housing heat shield was slightly touching a peice of metal below causing a metal on metal rattle.
I took apart the air filter cover and made sure that was all fitted correctly, which it was.
I noticed that the actual housing seems to have a centimetre or two of play and sits in a lower position rather than an upper position if that makes sence?
Due to the fact that i'm not the best at describing things in the engine bay I made a little video on my phone which i've uploaded to youtube.
Ideally I would like to know how to hold the filter housing in the 'upper position' i mentioned before as this will stop the metal touching.
I didn't record with the engine running so you won't hear the rattle but if you would like me to do a recording with the sound let me know.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards
Cameron
