When I got my car ('98 W202 C43) the adjustment that squeezes the seat back didn't work. I read a few threads on this forum and found comments about air hoses in the seat back. Assuming that that was simply too easy I nevertheless took the seat back off and sure enough there was a loose hose. I pushed it back on and hey presto! Crushed kidneys.

Two days later and hey presto! No function again.

Several weeks later I took the seat back off again, reconnected; one more gadget to play with. Two days later etc, etc.

Does anyone have a fix for this? I could simply use some cable tie but I'm concerned that another pipe may then let go which will be harder to get at. Is it always and only the pipe that feeds the seat back-sides that comes off?
