First post here so please be gentle. (The name comes from my hobby of flying by the way)

I have a C 180 (202) on a UK R plate (around 95/96). It is sluggish to say the least. I know that with the 1.8 it is underpowered for the body size anyway, but I have been and bought the resistor to improve performace by unplugging the inlet ait temperature sensor.

Whatever the merits as previously discussed here in the past, I would like to give it a try. Only one little problem really.... Can't find the thing. Haynes manual didn't help either.

So, can anyone tell me where it is, the only thing I can find that might be it has 6 connections in it, so I don't think that will be it, I imagine that I should be looking for a 3 connector really.

Over to you, any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Your intake air tempurature sensor is intrgated into the air mass sensor, which is the 6 pin multi plug you have described.
not sure how you would go about wiring it into that.

Your Mercedes
2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
you can use the water temp sensor as it will do the same thing , I did quite a lot of testing with them it is hard to know if they do help, the vale of the resistor is 4.7kΩ you another value like 3.3k or 2.7k
