Air Temp Guage...or Not !!

Got My C180 W202 Without Any Display For Outside Temp....the Guage Is Just Black.....can This Be Fixed Easy Enough Or Should I Just Leave It ? The Beast Has Done 137000 Miles.

Doubtful if your C180 had an outside temp gauge as standard.
Put your VIN into this; http://www.mbclub.ru/mb/vin/?lng=eng ; and you will get a list of your car's original spec.

The gauge has always been blank whilst ive had the car........i presume thats its the temp gauge ???? .....left main guage at the bootom....under the fuel and engine gauge ???!!!!????

That being the case its as C220GJS says it was not fitted from new, as it was an option.

Many of these things that were extras 10 years ago are now standard.

No not really,I think you get more blank as you get older.

By the way the gauge was a retro dealer fit,but the cost puts it out of the question.Buy one from a breaker ?

Hi,
Yes i can confirm this is left blank if the car came without the outside air temp option
Read on another forum name escapes me at moment but it is quite straight forward to fit yourself if you were so inclined.
They,d done a "How to" thread on it. most expensive single item was the lcd unit for the dash no 2nd hand units unless you replace the instrument cluster. But hey i,m waffling now:mrgreen:
