I have to replace the passenger door on my 98 r129, with airbag. i cant seem to find any youtube vids on this. loads on door card removal, but none on the actual door removal. Apart from systematically taking it all apart, does anybody have any tips? ie the correct order, door lock first, window up or down etc? i have bought a replacement door, correct colour, complete, but the breakers cut the wires, so i have to get the loom out of the old door and the door lock anyway.

I believe door cards with air bags you have to disconnect the battery and wait a few hours before removing the card.

I would be inclined to remove your existing loom from the door and the cut loom from the replacement door.
Then remove the door lock and anything else that needs transferring.
Swap the doors over and then refit.

You could wait till the door is off before removing locks etc and this may be easier as you will improve access. Ditto refitting them to new door.

A 10mm spanner works well to remove the vacuum lines.

Any ideas on the airbag? Like you suggest, i disconnected and removed all the wiring today along with the door lock. the only thing left is the airbag, which is riveted on. I hope if i drill out the rivets, there will be a connection on the bag. So i'll disconnect the battery and leave for a few hours.
