Empty garage, awaiting new toy :)
I send mine off to a local company for repair.
BBA-Reman Ltd
If I'm in a hurry they have a "sit n wait" service for an extra £50.00
Otherwise its 2-3 days.

Some SRS Airbag units are coded to the fuel pumps depending on system type.

Second hand units may not work as they can be coded to the vehicle on a one time only basis.

That said some units can be flashed with the dump file from the original unit if it contains crash data fault codes.
The crash data can be cleared changing the hex data.

That's why I send off the vehicles OEM unit to be repaired or crash data cleared.

Thanks for tips - sounds best way forward to remove the unit & get it repaired/checked - had the AA do a a scan & this came back - Airbag 2ez airbag ab orc 212 status:B2207 airbag control unit, error message; internal fault, fault stored. Status:B2208 airbag control unit error message internal fault stored. Thinking this related to a seat sensor I called a guy who ran a merc star scan who said it was this part 2079011900 that needs replacing/repairing he tried rebooting to no avail- thanks for your help cheers
