Ok, the W204

Puzzled me since I bought it - how does the passenger airbag get out?
No separate panel, no joints.

Maybe rip out of the dash, like something from "Aliens", sliver between the dash and glove box, or does the whole thing rise up and give you a preliminary smack in the face?

Hope no one has personal exp. , but anyone know?

Yes it pops (or rather - blasts) out of the dash, straight through the material which is specially weakened behind - instantly destroying the dashboard. If the passenger airbag deploys, that'll (insurance) write-off any car less than a couple of grand.

Guess you'd end up with dashboard graining on your forehead!

I hope it will a while before the airbag is worth more than the car.
