what!!! over £500 for simple service !!!!, oil filter at best is £20, oil maybe £80 (if using good stuff) 1 hours labour maybe £150.
What a rip off.

Air con, the bloke that does mine said there are some good advances in leak sealing stuff for air con, but also said he would be very careful, as it may well seal a leak, but bugger something else up, like the compressor. His moto is, it should work like it was designed, find the faulty bit and replace it.
Small leaks are almost always the condenser or dryer, and very difficult to find.
what price do you think they have with VAT for a ltr of oil ? I guess its around £21, and clearly 504 isn't just an oil change but a basic everything....

oil
140
oil filter
22
air filter
43
washer fluid
18
sundries on door hinges
6
labour 1.5 x 220
330
inc VAT
559

sadly is not the 1980's for prices anymore

sure you could put nasty name death oil in for 35, an oil filter made in romaina from his mums tights and an air filter made from a tree that fell over last winter and was hit by a lorry and leave the door hinges covered in salt to seize up - but that's still £135 including labour for the car thief who got to check out where you live and clone the key
