2001 C220 CD1 - I HAVE EC LIGHT ON ALL THE TIME. TOOK CAR TO QUICK FIT TO HAVE AIRCON REGASSESD ETC. EC LIGHT STILL ON AND VENTS BLOWING WARM AIR. COMPRESSOR NOT KICKING IN AT ALL TO PRODUCE NICE COLD AIR. CAN ANY ONE TELL ME THE POSSIBLE FIXES FOR THIS PROBLEM. IS THERE A RESET SWITCH ON THE COMPRESSOR AND WHERE IS IT. I HAVE ALSO READ ABOUT SENSORS - WHERE ARE THEY LOCATED PLEASE HELP!!:cry:

I had the same on my S320. It turned out to be "The Theomstate" (misspelt)
The part is about £40 from Mercedes but I had also had the fault code reset at Mercedes.

as tromppost righty said if you have had low pressure and its put a fault code in the system wont fire up untill it knows its fault free, seen 2 this week alone!!!!
