airmatic error code c1517

got an airmatic warning on the dash and code c1517 pops up on my reader, can anyone tell me if it relates to a strut or a level sensor please.

car is a 2000 w220 (s500) back end is down

MB diagnostic codes from a Star readout will be different to your generic code reader.

Google the brand of your code reader and the fault code you have to see what it relates to.

Does the car lift when you start it up and drop overnight? It could even be the airmatic pump at fault.

thanks for your reply and the link.

front lifts and stays high - when I press the button inside - back doesn't move at all. front returns to correct height when I turn the lift button off.

will have to work through that article though getting it up on the drive is going to be interesting
