Airmatic on a ML a good idea

I'm looking for a ML for my wife to use as a towcar for her horse box and I've come across a nice ML with airmatic.

Is it that much of a problem and how much more can it cost to fix when it goes wrong then the self leveling on a E class????

I'm not sure if you'll be able to see this thread from another forum, but a couple of ML owners joined in.

I would have thought it would be useful on occasions with the horse box scenario.

Mine has been fine, but some earlier ones do have leaks which need fixing.

Techies on here will be able to confirm more detail.
