Hi All
My TE doesnt have an alarm or immobiliser. Given that I would like to keep it :)D) I am going to get some quotes. The question is how easy is it to tie the vacuum central locking in to a remote alarm-easy, moderate or don't bother....?
Many thanks.

Don't bother, you get more problems unless you don't have enough.

Unable to start, false alarming, the list is endless.

Easy to tap into, it works on a single wire which has to be cut, i have a fitting manual for all cars with all the wires and colours on the car if you want to try it yourself.

Not sure yet Bob-not yet rung for prices.. I suppose all I need to know is where to tie in the connection to the central locking though as the rest should be straightforward.
Thanks.

You do not have to worry about the vacuum system as it is controlled by the electric wires in the doors and that will take care of its self

Green wire in the ducting under the carpet on drivers side (just infront of drivers seat) The wire will be 12v when you lock and ground when you unlock. Cut this wire and follow the alarm instructions for vacume locking.

What else do I look for?

There are two long numbers not sure whether they are fob codes so can't put it here.

It fitted in my W202, if you tell me what you are looking for I may compare what it had been fitted in mine. It gave false alarm before and it OK now, I am not going to disrupt it too much to revert back to false alarming again. BigBobs CL can help you better as he said he got all the diagrams.

I remember there were two plugs of wires, one for the motion sensor and the other for the power lines and ECU.

I got scratches on the hands the last time I access it.
