Alarm installation info required

I have managed to get a MBSS 2a alarm but i have no installation info so i can't fit it to my car.

Car is SLK (R170) 1997

Any help much appreciated

Hi Mac999,

That is a Thatcham category 1 - Ref no: TCC336/0197.
Could I suggest you google on the ref no. and see what comes up?
www.electrifyingtouch.co.uk has a number you can call.

They also quote for approved fitting as insurance companies will only entertain installation by approved Thatcham fitters.

The circuit diagram comes with the alarm if you got from the same eBay source as I did ............silverbill or something.

But what is suitable for your R170 is MBSS(infrared) or as I got 2001 MBRSS(radio)

Yeah got it from the same source as you Dragon but the circuit diagram relates to a 202 C Class and the wiring is different in an SLK

It should be similar to R170, what are you trying to change? If I will you I change only the part that failed instead of the whole system. Hasn't it got one already in there?

Look for the infrared module and follow what the instruction says for C202/210.

I did it to my W201, and it great fun, but not with this current weather. Shouldn't take you more than a week.
