This is my first post on this forum, I have read through on alarm faults
sent in by other people re the bulb failure in the mirror, has anyone fitted
leds? and if so which type?
My car is a c180 1996 auto and I have cured 2 small problems through
information on this forum. Thanks very much to all involved.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
When the mirror L.E.Ds fail on the mirror MB say the only solution is to replace the mirror though my "red" one was replaced by a MB tech at the dealer for the price of a drink (£5) he took the mirror apart (carefully as it is not meant too be) and replaced it like for like with one bought from RS components (they are soldered in).
I can confirm that faulty L.E.D.s can cause erratic behaviour of the alarm immobiliser, make sure the door ones are both working too.
