Good afternoon,
This is my first post, so apologies if i seem a bit dim, im not known for my car expertise in the slightest.
Basically this evening i locked the car (04 C200 Sports Coupe) using the lock button on the key. The car locks fine. However, an alarm sounds from behind the front passenger side wheel arch. (im assuming this is the anti-theft alarm?)
I can unlock the car using the key, the car will start and will drive with no malfunctions. The alarm will continue while driving. After 10-15 minutes whether the car is unlocked/locked/moving or stationary the alarm will stop. The very next time i press the lock key, the alarm goes off again.
I've used the spare key to lock and still the same result.
I rang MB dealer who had not heard of this problem and told me to try breakdown assistance, they had not heard of it either. The dealership cant take the car in until next week but im abit worried by it. Im going to chance it tomorrow to see if they can at least tell me what the fault is.
Would anyone have any ideas/thoughts??
Thanks
Mark
