Hi does any one have the wiring diagrams for the 2000 ML320 alarm as I want to add a window lift module to the standard alarm.

Thanks in advance

Does not the car close the windows if you hold down the locking button on the key for a few seconds

It doesn't work on the rf, only on the IR. You need to be sttod in close proximity to the door handle, and point it at the IR receiver...

Flip key or electronic key makes no difference, just operate the locking and hold the button down near the door handle eye. It should raise the windows & Roof on locking and lower on unlocking.

The only reliable source of info on these systems would be from WIS, and to be honest with you I would very reluctant at trying to interface/introduce any form of addition to the MB alarm system, as they can be an absolute night mare, personnally I think your time would be beter spent trying to understand and rectifing why your standard total closure does,nt work, though even this will probably involve a wiring diagram of some sort. But fault finding on existing system it will normally prove to be something simple or a defective relay/unit and only involve a simple repair/replacement.
If you still want to fit and additional unit it might be a better idea to buy an infra red locking system and instead of wiring it to the locking wire it to your closure module.

You are of course right, that is the very best possible reason, though I as others have said thought this to be standard on all models since approx. 1997.

Yes the SLK was the same as they hung on to the flip style keys (but with DAS fitted, ie transponder chip and conventional ignition switch) but with more than one button!!, I have been wondering why this is, thought it might have something to do with where they were made as the ML's are made in America, though not sure where the SLK is produced.
