My ultra reliable "G" reg W124 has history. It was stolen from a previous owner some years ago. It doesn't now have an alarm system. My question is two-fold.....How can I find out if it was it was originally built with a factory fitted alarm (that's since been removed) as there is a space for some kind of gadgetry on the l/h inner wing with diconnected plugs....and if it should have a factory fitted alarm as standard, where can I get one that won't break the bank.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Benzover. I took your advice and guess what..... Theres no control unit, just a coiled up (what looks like) co-ax type cable. Can anyone advise next steps to getting me alarmed again?
Cheers all.

Brian, the original Scorpion Alarm that was fitted is no longer available. I would suggest contacting an auto electrician who specializes in car alarms. I was quoted £200, all in, a few months ago to basically provide a new system which did all what the original Scorpion Alarm did. (I was having trouble with the alarm which ocassionally gives grief but I have worked out a simple soluion to my problem). I live in Dartford
