Alloy corrosion.

I’ve got the usual corrosion problem on one alloy, is there something you can put on this to stop it corroding further ?

Look like they’ve been refurbished before, I would say powder coated.

Do you take your car to a car wash / hand wash sometimes? When they deteriorate by the centre caps it's usually due the acid wheel cleaner that is sprayed on. It creeps in the gap between wheel and cap and gradually eats away at any weakness as it doesn't get washed off. I read somewhere to apply clear nail varnish as a temp fix to chips on wheels to seal the damage..

Never been to a car wash in Her indoors ownership.

They are just not durable any more same as wheel bolts, rusty, often in less than yr. I have one wheel like that in picture. Yet my w208 wheels refurbed once in 19 yr are still mint. And very little rust on wheel bolts.

That’s the issue it’s only one wheel atm, so it’s not time to do a refurb .
I’m sure the others will go, so will wait till then .
