Do check the bolt sizes, most pre 2000 are 12mm and post 14mm, no fixed rule it is on a model basis

I tried 2 sets of W203 alloys on my W202 and they both fitted well. What style are you getting Andy?

Nice wheels those, they are easy to clean as well.

My note of caution was only to point out a possible problem that should be checked

just an update on the new wheels...fitted them yesterday and they look good but ride comfort has suffered a bit and road noise has increased, does the tracking have to be re-set when changing wheel sizes?are the road noise & comfort issues normal?

Hi andy66

Why did you change your wheels? Could it have anything to do with corrosion?

The wheels on my C230K W202 are corroding and I have submitted a claim to DC for a replacement set, however, I now have an opportunity to consider a different design.

My indie is dead against refurbished wheels - it's a false economy. Pristine is, in his opinion, the only company able to refurbish wheels correctly.

Hi andy66

So changing wheel design can impact on road noise? Interesting! A lesson for us all.

The wheel design om my C230K is quite attractive and I'd be happy to have the same again because they are quiet. Your recent experience has made me reconsider changing the design.

it may be more to do with the tyre size/prorile than the wheel design..i have gone from 195/65/15 wheels &tyres to 205/55/16

I think it's the tyre maker and tyre profiles and sizes that determines road noise, some sizes may be the same but different brands of tyre produce more/less noise.

Andy when the same wheels were on my mine I didn't notice any difference in road noise or comfort at all. I had Pirelli P6000's on mine. Same 16" rims and same size tyres as you. Let us know what happens after you have tried different tyres.
