Had a look at few of them. Unfortunately it's too small for my needs.Assuming an old Yaris petrol 1.0 or 1.3 VVTi complies wit ULEZ (no idea what age they have to be) then you can get one of those for less than your budget and they are incredibly reliable and cheap to run and perfect for 5k/mile/short journeys.
Bought a manual 2010 Vauxhall Zafira last night for £2300 and got rid of the Benz for £250. Pleasantly Surprised by how good it drives and the amount of space inside. Now the difficult task of getting rid of the dog smell.
Anyway thanks to everyone for their input and advise over the years, especially Malcolm (RIP). The site is bookmarked so will be checking on you lot regularly.
Same here.Had one Ford then Volvo and Saab. I bought the Zafira on my friends recommendation. He's had it for 11 years without any problems. Really like the cheap parts.Never was a Vauxhall fan but last yr son in law bought one a 1.6 petrol zafira , lovely and comfortable, been very reliable and parts are cheap anyhow , and bags of room , and ample power , can’t fault it , good all rounder.
Cheap parts for cheap cars, a family member was looking for a cheap family car, and I pointed out that for the price of a second hand car you could buy a new Dacia for £6k, they've had it for 5 years no problems, and when it does play up treat it like a consumable, throw away and buy new.Same here.Had one Ford then Volvo and Saab.
