Hi
Two points on this:
1) If I really want to buy a car I've seen advertised then everytime, without fail I would GO and VIEW it myself, in person! - I have to be 100% satisfied. If the car is simply too far away and viewing isn't possible then that car just isn't the one.
I travelled by train from Surrey to York to view one of my cars and the very nice garage collected me from the station. When I agreed to buy it they even delivered the car to my front door on a trailer the following weekend for no extra charge - now that's service.
2) Anyone who writes that much speil on an advert is an instant turn off in my opinion and walk away very quickly. All you want to know are the facts about a used car not fluffy lifestyle Bulls**t.
To quote a few lines from the ad description:
NOTHING LESS THAN A FLOATING CLOUD! -......OK what's that got to do with anything, didn't the Care Bears use to drive a cloud mobile in the 80's????
In September 1979 Mercedes Benz, launched the greatest ever luxury production motor car ever built - the W126 S Class. - ....maybe but what's that got to do with this used one for sale?
It's very presence is one that instantly creates respect and admiration - .....yes I'm sure it did when it was brand new
Favoured by the rich and famous as well as diplomats the world over, it is worth mentioning that each could have easily afforded Rolls Royce or Bentley, yet opted instead for Mercedes, for their first choice in luxury motoring. - .....Maybe, but how do you know it was someones first choice? The Bentley or Rolls waiting list might simply have been too long at the time so they went for their second choice - who knows, who cares??? It's potentially you buying it now, that's what matters!
The vehicle you are about to view, is testament to that time. A true ascending period motor car of exacting standards, due to an uncompromised past, coupled with our expertise. A 1990 W126 420 V8 SEDAN.......- oh my god, please spare me the BS
I'm sorry but in my opinion the warning signs are cleary there for all to see and alarm bells should be ringing.
