Once again I am really impressed with my merc, (e320 cdi estate 2003). I put a child seat in the front passanger seat as had a tree in the back, and off went the airbags automatically I took the seat out and off went the airbag off light. BUt heres the thing it was a £30 argos car seat not an expensive mercedes transponder seat!!!!
I am glad I found out as I was about to fork out for a transponder seat in the next few weeks so thats £250 saved!!
I have no idea how this worked as the cars handbook says you need a transponder merc seat but hey it works!
