hi iv currently got 17s standard amg twin spoke . . I'm looking for 19 inch wheels that will fit no rubbing . any recommendations? think offset needs to be 45 et on front and 54 et on rear. . cheers

Rear Wheels: 9.5Jx19 ET40

fitted with

front: 225/35R19
rear: 255/30R19

The ET is decided by the wheel width

Why? Extra cost to buy, harsh ride, more expensive tyres, increased risk of damage to edge of rims, increased risk of damage to wheels & coil springs if you hit a pot hole.

Yes ^ but Mercedes are standard fitting 18" and above to most of its cars - so there must be some plus sides. Beasides big alloys look so good!

Too many dynamic losses with bigger wheels the term 'upgraded' is greatly misused .

Another one is unsprung mass and the heavier wheel means heavier forces so the suspension damper is less effective greatly affecting ride quality this is usually only put down to the shorter tyre profile being less forgiving as that is what people can see thus understand .





If you have to have 19"+ in your life it would be wise to choose a specialist lightweight wheel .

I have 19s on 2 of my cars and 20s on the new one but all have a lot more sidewall than that!
