Guys, I am trying to find out what the AMG kit (B6 6003 0052) which I beleive consists of shocks and springs will do to my CLK430 avantgarde.

Everything is currently 'as factory' including the 17inch wheels with 225/45 tyres and I don't intend to change them...yet.

My questions to numerous dealers have been simply;  but without answers:

1. What effect on handling and ride
2. Is ride height effected

The kit is £500 + vat + fitting so I am looking at £1k approx so I would like to have at least some vague answers.

Any help out there?

Thanks.

An AMG model usually sits about 10mm lower than the norm; but you may have lower than usual suspension on a 430 Avg. Try the back of your handbook and see how ride height compares with the CLK55 - is that the set-up you're getting?
The ride will be firmer; the turn-in should be more taut, and the car should be less prone to understeer.
It's obviously impossible to verbally quantify the differences; if you can get the chance to drive an AMG car, you'll get some idea what you'll be getting.
If you have driven an Elegance model, you'll know the difference between the feel of that and an Avantgarde - well try and imagine that difference over again.
