I left my car (W212 e350 blue efficiency) at airport for 3 weeks. On my return battery was completely flat - key would not even unlock door/boot. (And no I had not wittingly left anything on)
Had to get car jump-started which it readily did and everything burst back into life. However I now have a 2 minute discrepancy between COMAND time and the analog clock. Tried changing time via COMAND: clock would move back and forth by the 30 minute allowable changes but the 2 minute discrepancy remains.
Any thoughts as to next steps?

Also - any thoughts as to why battery (replaced under warranty only 10 months ago) would not survive 3 weeks on its own?

The problem with batteries is when we park up for 3 weeks we have no idea of the state of the charge at that time, most cars will run the 2 weeks is pushing it a bit, providing the battery was fully charged at the time of parking up some 32 amps would have been drawn. So a possible drain in the electrics.

The battery system changed in 06-08 to a single battery.

Good news - the clock was reset correctly when I had to disconnect the battery to do some parasitic current tests. On reconnecting the battery, the clock sorted itself out and is now completely aligned with GPS time.

Bad news is that I was measuring 100-120ma current even after car had been quiesced for 20+ mins. Some work still to do obviously.
