Analogue clock not working

Hi,

i have just purchased a 1988 300SEL and am absolutely delighted with it.
I am trying to sort out a few little problems. One problem is that the analogue clock doesn't work.
Can anyone tell me if this is a common problem or if there is an easy fix?
