GLC 220D AMG NIGHT EDITION P+
Hi all, i have recently GLC (GLC 220D AMG NIGHT EDITION P+) which i love. It was first registered in May 2019

I cannot get Android Auto to cache / stream onto the screen.

I am using a USB-A to USB-C (photo 1) bought directly from samsung and the phone I am using is a galaxy s24 (bought the most up to date version hoping it working)

I would have expected this to get android auto functionality (with waze , spotify) working on the scren but no joy

I also tried usb c to usb c via the cigarette lighter plug as per photo 2. I have seen it stream this way on a VW Transpoter. Didn't work

the only connectivity I'm getting is via bluetooth as per photo 3.

Can anyone suggest how to get android auto working please?

Did you get a handbook with the car? Have a look and see if Android Auto is mentioned in there.

Me -2019 GLC 350 coupe AMG line. Mrs- 1.2 vauxhall Corsa 2021 ,orange with a black roof. .
If you go into settings and it doesn't mention Android auto , it won't be compatible. My 2019 GLC 350 coupe doesn't have it . I've got audio 20 , not comand. !!

Looking at photo, I'm pretty sure your car does not support A/auto or I/play. It should recognise it when connected, and It looks like the cable is the correct type, but the 'system' is not 'accepting' it.
Maybe worth calling dealer with your VIN number to verify?

Give these guys a call with your VIN number. They will tell you what you’ve got and what you can add. My 2018 GLC (with Comand) doesn’t have CarPlay/Android Auto

It seems quite odd which cars do/do not have Android Auto and Carplay installed/activated.

I have just traded in a 2017 CLA180 AMG Line which had Audio 20 with Android Auto and Carplay, and I used it successfulyl for AA.

However, my dad has a 2018 C200 Coupe AMG Line Premium with Audio 20 and his has neither.

My new car is a 2017 C200 Coupe AMG Line Premium with Audio 20 and also has neither.

Whether our cars have the stuff to allow ODB activation, I'm unsure, but I'm guessing not.

No what you have to do is, the aux in the arm rest , plug the thick end into the aux, then the usb into your phone i have the engine running at the same time, this will allow the phone to communicate with your system ,then you can use spotify everytime you are in the car, don't use this waz crap that people go on about , we bought a jap import just 2 weeks ago , 30,000 miles on clock one owner absolutely immaculate inside and out, everything was in japanese, the dealer wanted £400.00 to put the system into english , my wife and i got it all into english with in 30 mins we now just need to buy the correct sd card and have an english map of the uk , hope this helps , D&J Norwich
