Android Auto on a 2016 GLE

Hi all

My early 2016 GLE does not have android auto installed. I have seen somewhere that they were installed but "hidden" on these versions, and it is possible to take it to a mercedes service centre to get activated. They need to install some firmware and presto.

Is this true and has anyone tried it? If so how much did it cost?
