I've recently bought a 2017 A180 and that has smart phone integration. When I first got the car, I connected my phone and the car spotted it and I linked it with Android Auto. However, since that day - only around 3 days ago - I can't get Android Auto to work; I can't see any options for that or the iPhone integration I saw on day one. Any ideas how to get Android Auto back?!

phone security updates impacted connection?
broken phone or broken car, try pairing another phone and see how you get on

Have you tried repairing the phone? Sometimes phone and car just seem to "forget' each other and need to be paired again.

PS - welcome to the forum

Hello and welcome,

Check how many phones are paired to the car and delete them all then pair yours again. I’d also do a software update on the phone (if one is available)

Thanks for the replies; I think it's something to do with the car connecting to the phone with bluetooth. This afternoon, the Android Auto option appeared again on the car but the phone wasn't connected to the internet, so it couldn't complete the connection. Next time I plugged it in, I briefly saw the Android Auto option until the bluetooth connected, then it disappeared. I'm pretty sure it's me not understanding how it should be used - the dealer I bought it from wasn't a specialist Mercedes one, so I didn't get the usual "training course" - I'll try taking it to a dealer tomorrow - the sun shade has also fallen off - bit of an issue in Cyprus! - so I need to get that fixed.

It's still very hit & miss; I've been told it doesn't work with Cypriot phones - when I get a moment, I'll connect my phone to data and use a UK VPN to see what that does for me.
