Hello, chaps.

I'm about to take delivery of a 2009 W211 E280 CDI Sport and one of the first things I'll want to do is put in an Android head unit.

It COULD be just plug and play but apparently, if I have a fibre optic amplifier, I'll need an extra lead.

As I don't have the car yet (and wouldn't know what to look for anyway), can anyone tell me exactly what audio set-up my car has?

Many thanks in anticipation.

You need the VIN of the car then search on here for a VIN decoder website link that will look up the build sheet for your car and tell you exactly what it has. Another option, once you have the VIN, and especially if you are close enough to J3 M3, is to email the VIN to sales@comand.co.uk (sponsors of this forum) with a list of what you want to achieve by changing the HU, they can give you chapter and verse of what your car currently has and what you would need (in terms of reputable Pioneer or similar units, not cheapo Chinese) to achieve your wish list, and can also supply and fit!
