Android phone shows, as connected but car keeps turning car phone off

My Huawei p20 phone gets authorised and connected via the Bluetooth module in the armrest, I go into comand and switch "Tel on" it pauses a while then reverts to "phone off" repeatedly, can't get it to stay on? I've only had the car a week, so I know little. Thanks for any advice.

what car ? u have a photo of an s class interior - the first ones 2006 to 2009 cars didn't have telephone Bluetooth - whilst there was an OPTION at build bringing a Bluetooth connection you can try and pair a phone to - it doesn't work - that's not what its there for
