It must be illegal what they are doing, false misreprentation and all that, how have they managed to get a 51 plate, should DVLA be notified of this.

It will have been brought over here and registered in the UK in 2001, hence the 51 plate, as this refers to time of REGISTRATION, not manufacture.

I have asked the seller if they really think an 11 year old car would go for six grand, just waiting for the "but it's only six years old" reply. Oh REALLY....?

21k km = 14k miles, the 2 really sticks out, when you clock cars always make sure that the figures are in line, and you hands are clean

I pointed all of this out to the seller including that the mileometer (kilometer) looked as if it had been tampered with and he replied firstly:

Hi, Yes This info is correct,obviously the car has
been in storage,then imported to the uk.Are you interested in the car?

The MB listed on ebay is clearly being sold by someone that thinks hes in the motor trade and knows his cars, clearly he doesnt. The wheels arent even the correct offset for the car and the fronts could possibly fail the MOT. Think its time to start bombarding him with daft questions.

They were actually shipped in parts and then assembled in India.

It took me a while but I remember seeing this on a Universal salvage auction back in November. The dozy tw*t shows a picture of the V5 in his ad but forgot to hide the 10225380 Universal stock no. at the top! A quick check on the vehicle licence site shows the vehicle as unlicensed rather than on a sorn as well.

The car should really have a Q plate I reckon. Unless it was proved that it was a 1996, in which case it should be an N or P presumably?
