Another thumbs up for Mobilo

Driving home from Manchester yesterday, the dash on my W221 S Class suddenly lit up like a Christmas tree...

ESP inoperative
ABS inoperative
Distronic inoperative
Lane assist inoperative
Night vision inoperative
Blind Spot inoperative

Just about everything wasn't working...

Phoned Mobilo this morning, service van arrived as indicated at about 2pm. Technician put STAR on, diagnosed a faulty, offside wheel sensor (I was worried that the ESP module had gone bang)

He called Mercedes in Warrington and went off to collect. Came back, jacked the car up on the drive, swapped the wheel sensor, cleared all the fault codes and took it for a test drive (the faults all showed from the initial ignition startup anyway so didn't really need a test drive!)

Total cost for parts (less a bit of discount....) £97.00 all in with the VAT...

I've used the service a few times now and can never fault it

Certainly is... you don't realise how dependant you become on the likes of Distronic until it isn't working

Great and quick result there. You can guess what would have happened if you would have had to take to an MB dealer yourself.

Indeed... not sure what the hour;ly rate is for MB dealers now, but it would certainly have been a bit more than £97.00

Isn't it around £120 an hour? The 'free' coffee has to be paid from some where

I would guess diagnosis £120 plus 4 sensors (we need to change them all sir) £400, 2 hours labour £240. That'll be £760 plus VAT sir but you'll have to leave it with us for a week. By the way your front brake pads and discs are dangerous and need replacing....
