another water leak 230e 123 1984

Can any one help me, I have had a water leak behind the drivers seat . I have tried most things ! what I would like to know is when I put my hand between the front drivers seat sea and the inner sill I can feel a hole which is open ,should it be ? on the passenger side there is an fixing from the front seat into the hole . Thanks

I have a few leaks too.....mainly around the door area and the rear screen.....

Some holes are in the inner sill to allow for cable feeds, mountings etc, so it may be ok. You really need to have a look (see if its pressed in originally or rotted through!). Its possibly more likely that you have a leak from the windscreen, sunroof drain or door seal but we can't tell from here obviously. I would suggest if you are concerned about the hole, post a pic here and other 123 owners can put your mind at rest.

Then its seats out, carpet up and get a mate with a hosepipe job....
